Is Your Real Estate License up to Date?

is your real estate license up to date

DRE Licenses are issued for a 4-year period. If the license is not renewed prior to the expiration date, the licensee may face a period where they are not entitled to engage in activity requiring an active real estate license.

The DRE mails renewal reminders to all licensees. If you neglect to keep a current mailing address up to date with the DRE you will miss out on this important service. If you miss the deadline for on-time renewal, you have up to 2 years to renew the license – but the late filing may result in a delay in the processing of the renewal – and, stated above, an estate licensee cannot offer their services while expired.

Do You Know How to Use the DRE eLicensing System?

The DRE has tutorials available on its website that cover all of the features offered through the eLicensing system – secure.dre.ca.gov/elicensing/. The system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Real Estate Salespersons, Brokers, and Corporate Officers can all renew online through eLicensing. The system allows you to pay the license renewal fee by credit or debit card. It is fast, easy and offers certainty.
